The text of the inscription is compared with the edition of Mihailov through personal observation by N. Sharankov.
Commentary

The name Megakles is attested in another funerary inscription from Apollonia, IGBulg 429.

The form for the genitive Μεγακλέо̄ς, corresponding to the later spelling Μεγακλέους, renders the long close [о̄] with the letter omicron.
