Apparatus
Apparatus
The text of the inscription is given according to the edition of Mihailov after a comparison through personal observation by N. Sharankov.
1-2 The forms ἐγό instead of ἐγώ and ἐπλήροσα instead of ἐπλήρωσα are due to the loss of quantity in Later Greek.
2 At a later moment, a vertical stroke was added to the letter Θ in order to give it the shape of a cross within a circle, possibly when the column was (re-)used in some Christian structure.
